Is Online Banking safe? Yes; at South Sound Bank we know security and privacy of personal information is very important to our clients. Therefore, all messages are encrypted and firewall technology prevents unauthorized access to our computer systems. We also allow you to create a unique Access ID and Password to verify your identity while conducting business through our online services. We will treat any information about your transactions - that we receive through these services - in accordance with our general privacy policy that is provided to all of our customers.
Will Sound Sound Bank verify information through "Pop-Ups"? No; most financial institutions - including South Sound Bank - will never ask you to verify personal information in pop-ups. Pop-ups are the separate browser windows that "pop-up" sporadically. When you click on some of these pop-ups, it is possible to cause harm to your computer, such as the involuntary downloading of "spy ware" or "adware".
Sometimes criminals will create pop-ups that look like the come from a respected financial institution and ask you to enter personal and/or financial information. Again, South Sound Bank will never ask for personal and/or financial information through pop-ups.

If I initially declined or delayed enrollment in eStatements, how can I enroll now? If you would now like to opt-in to receiving eStatements in lieu of receiving paper statements in the mail, simply log-in to SSB Online Banking. Then select the "Change Password" tab option at the top of your screen. After going to this page, scroll down to "eStatement Enrollment" and select "Edit." This will prompt you to select the accounts you wish to enroll. Confirm a valid e-mail address and be sure to read and agree to the Terms of Use. This completes your enrollment -- you will begin to receive eStatements the following month's statement cycle. You're set to go!
I enrolled in eStatements with my personal account(s); why can't I enroll for my business accounts? If you use SSB Online Banking for personal and business accounts, enrollment may require contacting your branch of account to establish a valid e-mail address for your business.
In my SSB Online Banking, why can't I see my 18 months worth of statements? With the conversion to eStatements, the default viewing option within SSB Online Banking has been switched to eStatements; however, the archive of paper statements still exists. When looking for past statements, simply use the drop-down selection to select "CHECKING STATEMENTS" instead of "Checking Account eStatements," for example.
